New Year's Vigil

At the turn of each year in the western calendar, from December 31 - January 1st, devotees of Adi Da engage in an all-night vigil, marking this moment of transition with prayers of intention, envisioning and enacting positive change in the world, magnifying the disposition of Prior Unity--not division and divisiveness based on race, religion, gender or class, and not unity yet to be achieved through some causative means, but the inherent Unity of Reality, always already existent as That Which Transcends all possible points of view--as the awakening understanding and root disposition that guides world events. This photo was taken during one such vigil, with the shutter left open during the period of the primary period of prayer, so that the earth's rotation churned the stars in a dance around its polar alignment, like the many faceted sparks of humankind, covering the earth like a living blanket.

Festive Slippers

Traditionally the Feet of the Guru were worshipped as a demonstration of the Proof of Real God, even capable of manifestation in human form. The sign of the Realizer gave proof to the process of Realization in human terms, showing that nothing that is in the domain of human experience stands outside of Realization, when Realization is true.

I Hover for Nectar

The whole being has to purr, such that my wings flutter at incredible speeds, in order to quietly sit in the silent air and sip nectar cocktails from the goblets of flowers.
