iPhone and iPad art
These are examples of art I have created from 2010 to the present, entirely on the iPhone or iPad.
This work has come about in response to my exposure to the artistic genius of Adi Da Samraj. I was fortunate enough to work as a technical assistant in his art studio in the Fiji islands from the time he started creating digital works in 2006 until his passing in 2008, and that time period was the greatest inspiration of my life creatively and personally. Quite simply, seeing Adi Da make art revealed more about the artistic process than any books I've ever read. It was a direct experiencing of what it means to participate whole-bodily in art, and not merely look at it or think about it or talk about it.
These pieces are the start of a life-long consideration in response to the creative outpouring Adi Da manifested in that space.
In addition to being a great inspiration artistically, Adi Da is also my chosen Spiritual Master, according to the esoteric principle of Guru and devotee. Many of these works are also of a devotional nature, celebrating the in-depth process of this unique form of relationship with Him.
Please contact me via email if you are interested in purchasing any of these artworks at ruycarpenter@gmail.com. I offer them in several formats, principally as prints on metal.
I also post ongoing works of this kind to my Instagram account, @utmostfrog
